Jeep's first EV to debut in 2023

Will it retain the legendary off-road prowess?

Published on 03 Mar 2022

Jeep has announced that their first EV will hit the market as early as 2023. It's hard to say from the pictures, but rumours swirl that the vehicle will be similar in size to, or smaller than the Renegade. Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis (Jeep's parent company) revealed these images on the 1st of March, in line with the Jeep brand's vision of Zero Emission Freedom.

Details are extremely scarce at this point, but the images reveal all the characteristic Jeep cues, from the iconic seven-segment grille and short overhangs that current Jeep models showcase. There appears to be a healthy amount of ground clearance, and no doubt all-wheel-drive will feature. Nothing is known about the interior at this stage, but we wouldn't expect it to deviate too much from Jeep's current styling cues, as well as incorporate some of the neat little 'Easter Eggs' that the brand's current models hide around the cabin. Stay tuned, as we bring you more on Jeep's first EV when the company releases information.
